Two life changes at once are a lot to carry. An unexpected pregnancy and a paycheck that isn’t coming in right now can each feel heavy on their own. Together, they can make it feel like every decision has to be made immediately.
The good news is that it doesn’t. Pregnancy unfolds over months, giving you time to gather information, explore your options, and take one step at a time.
We’re here to help. Echoz is an accredited medical clinic where registered nurses provide free, confidential pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, and evidence-based medical information.

Pregnancy Gives You a Timeline, Not a Deadline
When money is tight, everything can feel urgent. But while your finances may need immediate attention, your pregnancy gives you time to understand what’s happening and prepare for what comes next.
Instead of asking, “How am I going to figure all of this out?” try asking, “What’s my next step?”
A lot can change over the course of a pregnancy. A job search can gain momentum. New opportunities can open up. Support you didn’t know existed can become available. The most helpful thing you can do right now is start with the facts about your pregnancy.
Start with Medical Answers
Before making any pregnancy decisions, it’s important to understand what’s happening medically.
At Echoz, a registered nurse administers your pregnancy test and reviews your results with you. If your test is positive, you may qualify for a limited ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy, estimate how far along you are, determine the pregnancy’s location, and confirm whether it is progressing.
Those details matter more than many women realize. Up to one in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage, and an ultrasound can also identify an ectopic pregnancy, which requires immediate medical attention. Knowing these details gives you a clearer picture of your pregnancy and the information you need to plan your next steps.
These services are provided at no cost because getting medical answers shouldn’t depend on your financial situation.
One Appointment Can Connect You to More
Looking for a job often reminds you how valuable the right connection can be. The same is true during pregnancy.
Echoz works with community organizations throughout the Great Falls area and can connect you with resources for employment, food and nutrition, transportation, education, mental health support, and care during pregnancy and after delivery.
Instead of spending hours trying to figure out what’s available, you can meet with healthcare professionals who know the local resources and can help point you in the right direction.
Programs like Montana Medicaid, SNAP, and WIC may also be available to eligible women during pregnancy and after birth, helping provide support while you work toward your next opportunity.
Make This Season Count
Being between jobs doesn’t mean life is standing still.
Echoz offers parenting classes covering everything from pregnancy and newborn care to healthy relationships, budgeting, and other practical life skills.
Through the Earn While You Learn program, every class you complete earns credits toward the Baby Boutique, where you can receive diapers, wipes, clothing, maternity wear, cribs, mattresses, car seats, books, and other baby essentials. Prenatal appointments and well-baby visits earn credits, too.
Many women find that this season becomes an opportunity to prepare in ways they hadn’t expected, learning new skills while gathering practical items they’ll need after their baby arrives.
Your Current Situation Isn’t the Whole Story
Being between jobs doesn’t define your future.
Many women continue interviewing, accept new positions, or begin new careers while they’re pregnant. And under federal law, employers generally cannot refuse to hire someone simply because she is pregnant.
Whatever your circumstances look like today, they don’t tell the whole story.
The nurses and healthcare professionals at Echoz have walked alongside many women facing similar situations. They can answer your questions, provide evidence-based medical information, and connect you with resources that fit your needs.
Take the First Step
You don’t have to solve everything today. You just need a place to start. Make an appointment online or contact us by calling or texting (406) 727-1850. We’d be glad to answer your questions and help you take the next step.
Echoz does not perform or refer for abortions but provides evidence-based medical information so you can make an informed decision about your pregnancy.
